We take calls from the families and caregivers of hospice and home health patients. We are seeking intelligent, empathetic, compassionate individuals who are able to work in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within time constraints. Answering Service Agents are responsible for answering incoming calls from patients, family members, nursing administrators, doctors, caregivers, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment providers. In addition, you will take medication orders and DME orders. Also hospice, palliative care, and home health referrals. Successful applicants will have to meet the following job requirements and desired skills:
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate VoIP telephone system of inbound and outbound calls.
- Send communication notes to on-call staff in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
- Upon answering the incoming calls, the operator will ascertain the nature of the call and route to the appropriate person.
- Provide accurate information to the on-call staff, obtained from family members, patients or facilities. Information such as the patient's name, phone number, date of birth or address.
- Ensure escalation of dissatisfied callers to the appropriate individual.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor

- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must have a professional, quiet home office environment conducive to handling a volume of phone calls providing privacy.
- A home computer dedicated to the work environment a must.
- Home technology environment conducive to remote phone work as assessed during the hiring process.
